Music, Movies, and More
Flick through album covers and find your music. Download and watch your favorite movies, rentals, TV shows, and more from the iTunes Store. Tap into thousands of photos. All using incredible multi-touch technology on a beautiful 3.5-inch display.

Music
If a picture says a thousand words, think of what all the album art in your collection might say. With Cover Flow on iPod touch, flick through your music to find the album you want to hear. When you do, just tap the cover to flip it over and display a track list. Another tap starts the music. Even view the lyrics while you're listening to the track.

Video
The 3.5-inch display gives you video like you've never seen on a portable device. Watch your favorite movie or rental from the iTunes Store. Catch up on TV shows anywhere. Enjoy video podcasts. Play music videos. All using multi-touch technology. With a tap, bring up onscreen controls to play/pause and view by chapter. Turn your iPod touch to switch between widescreen or full screen.

Photos
iPod touch holds up to 25,000 photos you sync via iTunes. Flick to scroll through thumbnails. Tap to view full screen. Rotate for landscape format. Or perform some sleight of hand by opening two fingers to zoom in. You can even play slideshows, complete with music and transitions. Set any photo as your wallpaper to personalize your iPod touch . . . with a touch.

iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store
With iPod touch, discover new music anywhere. Its built-in wireless capability gives you access to the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, where you can buy songs with a tap. Browse New Releases, What's Hot, Genres, and Top 10 songs. Or find exactly what you're looking for with a quick search. Tap a song to preview it, tap Buy to purchase it. Even redeem your iTunes gift cards and gift certificates. All from anywhere you happen to be.

Starbucks Music
You walk into a Starbucks. Order your latte. While you wait, you hear a song wafting from the loudspeakers. You love it. So you get out your iPod touch and buy it over Wi-Fi. Just like that. The iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store on iPod touch tells you what's playing in select Starbucks and lets you buy it along with other featured Starbucks content. So you can sip, shop, and listen.

Home Screen
Make the iPod touch Home screen your own. Change what's in the Dock. Rearrange the icons. And make room for even more. You can add up to eight Home screen pages and fill them with Web Clips.

Internet
Surf the web. Send email. Get directions and find your location with Maps. Check stocks, weather, and more. iPod touch is not just an amazing iPod. It's the Internet in your pocket.

Safari
iPod touch is the only iPod with wireless access to the web. Safari is built in, so you see websites the way they were designed to be seen. Search the web using the touchscreen keyboard. Zoom in and out by tapping the multi-touch display. Switch between portrait or landscape view, depending on how you hold your iPod touch. Sync your bookmarks. Better yet, add them to your Home screen. iPod touch can automatically create a Web Clip on your Home screen from any of your favorite websites. So just one tap takes you directly there.

YouTube
Got a bit of a YouTube addiction? iPod touch feeds it from anywhere with a special YouTube player built right in. Watch featured videos, check out the most viewed, search for something specific, then bookmark your favorites for future reference. It's all the fun of YouTube--pocket-size.

Mail
iPod touch is the first iPod with Mail. And it's the best email you've ever seen on a handheld device. This mail application lets you view rich HTML email with graphics and photos displayed inline, as well as PDF, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel attachments.

Maps
Get directions and check traffic with Google Maps. Even find yourself, wherever you are. Using some local Wi-Fi networks (if Wi-Fi is turned on), iPod touch finds your approximate location and gives directions from there. Mark specific locations, find the best route between them, and search for points of interest along the way. With a hybrid map and satellite view, you can see major street names on top of satellite images.

Widgets
Widgets are small, incredibly handy applications you can use every day. Three of the most useful widgets now live front and center on your Home screen:

My Son opened a broken I pod touch for Christmas
It was sad, it came broken and I didnt check it out before wrapping his ipod. I have to call Apple and we have to wait for 2 weeks for it to be fixed or replaced.

Stunning Technology By Apple!
Received this 16GB ipod touch (1G) for a week now but still stunned by Apple's amazing technology! I've used a few ipods before but none of them can compare to this one. It is simply the best portable device on market. It is very user friendly. Get on line is so simple when you're in a hot spot. The Apple's App Store is amazing. It has so many useful software for free! Even for those who need to pay, the price is very reasonable (mostly from $0.99 to $5). I remember I'd paid more than $15 to buy a dictionary software for my Palm PDA. Now with the same $15 I can buy more than 10 app software for my ipod touch!
The good thing for the ipod touch is it uses the same firmware with the iphone. That means all the software for the iphone can also be used by the ipod touch. There are tons of them. So I recommend you to get the biggest memory that you can afford. 8GB is simply not quite enough. The difference between the 1G and 2G is so little. I would recommend to save the money and get a bigger memory for the 1G ipod touch. You would appreciate to have more built-in memory than the extra volume button and a built-in speaker on the 2G. I would love to see Apple to put a memory expansion slot on the next generation ipod touch.
Last advice is Don't Buy This For You Kids. It is so fun, addictive and so portable, they will have a very hard time to put it down and finish their homework!

IN LOVE with my touch
Ive downloaded alost all the free apps and will never be bored after getting the ipod touch

Customer Reviews
This product got great profesional reviews but missed some glareing problems
Good. Firmware is pretty good with the accelerometer adding some nice features like shake shuffle and some games. Almost as good as the 3rd generation
Bad. The rounded screen makes for some horrible glare. Battery life is not good. Can only charge with the USB cable to computer which means at work when I run out of juice I am done for the day. Itunes is very buggy on windows and annoyingly tries to make you update even though the first version of the update renders your Ipod unusable until you do some strange voodoo dance.
Basically I loved my first generation Nano so much that I got a 3rd generation when i lost my first generation. When I lost that one I was very close to getting another MP3 player due to the fact that the software was so damn buggy. Inevitably I broke down and bought the 4th generation which was a mistake. The surface area was roughly the same as the 3rd generation but the square sized seemed to fit better in my pocket. One of the worse problems besides the Itunes software was the inability to use my old power charger. I think that is pretty much a slap in the face by apple and for me a nail in the coffin for Apple products . Once soccer moms start using something the coolness factor disappears.

Whats to say?
It's an Apple iPod, shipped by Amazon. Everything about the product and the purchase are flawless.

Excellent iPod
I got this as a Christmas gift and love it. Lots of storage and very easy to navigate.

Great small-memory, lightweight iPod...
I have had my iPod nano (Silver 2nd generation) for 2 years now, and it's still ticking right along. I use my iPod mainly for listening to music while exercising (running - on a treadmill during crummy weather and outdoors when it's nice). I've been using it lately to listen to an audio-book, and it does that well, too.

This iPod has got to be the perfect exercise-partner. I holds plenty of music for even long, long runs or bike rides. Of course 2GB isn't the 80GB or 120GB you can get in other iPod models, and I've never tried using for video, but this iPod is lightweight and rides nicely on my arm in an iPod holder. It's is easy to use, and is an all around joy to have around.

Oh sure it will occasionally lock up, what piece of hardware doesn't(?), but it is easy to reset and it resumes its normal functioning right away.

On another note, my daughter has the same kind of iPod as mine, but she's had hers a little longer. I need to tell you that her iPod has lost sound generation to one of the earbuds - it's not an earbud problem, it's an iPod problem (we tested it with multiple ear phones). So these are not likely to last forever - what does? Thus it loses one star.

At any rate, I've had a 5-star experience with my iPod.

You should be advised, however, that the earbuds are not at all likely to last as long as the iPod itself. I'm now on my 2nd pair of earbuds.

For the positive reasons listed above, this model is worth a solid 4-stars.

Thanks Apple!

Freezes constanly...
I should have read the reviews for this before I bought it. I purchased it new. It CONSTANTLY freezes up. I only download and listen to audio books on my ipod. The first book download worked perfectly. Not anymore!!!

It has such a hard time when it's time to download!!! It's a pain. I have to constantly reset it (you do this by pushing the menu and the middle circle at the same time, for about 10 seconds) Even after resetting it, it still doesn't work.

I'm getting rid of it and buying one of the cheapos. At least if that "breaks" I'm only out $20-$30, not $100. This is trash. Save your money.

Deb
My daughter's Ipod got stolen! She paid for it with her babysitting money!I looked all over for it!Then I went to amazon.com & found it!It arrived within 2 days in perfect condition!Thank-you amazon.com my daughter is smiling again! Deb

Customer Reviews
Cute, but not what I really wanted.
Its my very fist MP3 player. It is adorable looking. The pink color is very, very atractive. I like it for its size, looks and sound, but I have a few complaints and would never buy another Apple product again, this being my very first and last.

It does not hold enough. Well it is only 1 gig. I have ordered an 8 gig Zune as well, which will hopefully be enough storage for me.

It really does "shuffle"..meaning, I entered entire CDs, but they are scattered all over the place and because there is no display, I have no idea what is coming up next.

Origionaly I filled it with Broaway Shows, but saw that was a huge mistake and will reserve my shows and my Jazz collection for my 8 gig Zune (awaiting delivery this week), which hopefully will play things in the ordered that they were entered in and of course has a display to tell me what is coming up next.

I find iTunes just awful. It is confusing as anything to use. I am very much a techie, but it required talking to two people at Apple. Finally I found a second tier lady who was very helpful and spent about an hour with me helping me to undo what I had done and then showing me how to add what I wanted instead. I downloaded a PDF. instruction file first, but it was useless.

I suppose I give it a 4...as it does have good sound and is fun...but not for albums that you want to be able to listen to uninterupted from beginning to end.

Customer Reviews
Best purchase I have EVER made
I purchased the 2nd generation iPod Touch 32gig to replace my old iPod 5.5 Video. I must say, Apple wasn't kidding when they said that this is "the funniest iPod ever"! I do everything with it. With all of the features that it offers it almost seems like music was an after thought. I even decided again purchasing a netbook because it does so much. The only caveat being typing for any entended emails... Did you know you can make VOIP calls? All you need is WIFI, the free VOIP app(there are a couple), and the new APPLE headset with mic, and you are in business. Its like a super PDA dedicated to entertainment. Who needs an iPhone anyway? Trust me... the iPod Touch is the truth.

Entertainment Powerhouse
I had wanted a music player for a long time and held off until I saw the 2nd generation iPod Touch. This is essentially an iPhone without the phone. WOW! Let me say that again, WOW. There are other versions of the iPod, but for those who have larger hands or don't want something too small and slim, this is perfect. It is not too large, but comfortable to hold and flat out fun to use. The color screen is beautiful and video is simply amazing to watch on the Touch. While the Touch is designed to be easy to use and mostly it is, it is not intuitive if you are not familiar with the design and how it is supposed to work. Being a geek, I purchased several books to learn about the Touch before hand, so I was ready to go when I received it. Syncing via iTunes is very easy and it is wonderful to have music, video (TV Shows, movies, movie trailers and You Tube to name a few), Internet, GPS and helpful apps make this a must have device. The Touch has Wi-Fi, so you can browse the Internet, check your mail, browse the iTunes Wi-Fi and App stores, get GPS info, check weather or stocks only on a Wi-Fi connection. If you are not near a Wi-Fi signal the Internet connection features and apps will not work. It should also be noted that only the music and App store sections of iTunes work on the Wi-Fi connection, all others are available only on your computer. The Touch also has some handy PIM widgets for a Calendar, Contacts, Notes, Clock and a Calculator. You can also view photos in vivid color. Your music library can be sorted by artist, song title, album (check out the cool cover flow feature by flicking your finger across the screen) and you can search for any of the above. The new Genius feature is also included in the 2nd generation version, suggesting music you may have forgotten you have. I don't use the Genius feature that much because the artist category feature is my favorite to find music. There are a number of paid and free aps available for the Touch and the iPhone since they are similar. Many do not need an Internet connection to work.

It is fantastic to be able to listen to your music library nearly anytime and anywhere you like. The Touch has full stereo sound and is espcecially good with headphones. The ear buds that come with it are okay, but I prefer over the ear headsets for full, rich sound. I never would have thought I would have enjoyed watching TV Shows or video on the go, but I love watching my favorite shows on the Touch. iTunes has nearly every cable channel show you can think of and it is a cost effective way to view a single episode to see if you like a show you have not seen before. One thing I am not wild about is touch typing. Contrary to popular opinion, there are stylus' made that will work with the touch. I purchsed a wonderful one from Hand Held Items that makes it much easier to type. The Touch syncs fairly quickly. Video will run the battery down faster than music will, but it charges very fast. I bought a 32 GB so that I would have plenty of room for music and video. I would like to mention an important point, once you have filled your iPod with your favorite entertainment, make sure you back up your iTunes libarary. iTunes will back up your iPod, but many people forget to back up their computers. If you lose it, it is gone and you will have to re-purchase anything you have lost. I backup all items purchased on my computer using both a backup drive and Arconis True Image software and an online storage site, Flipdrive. You can get 20GB of storage for $5.00 a month and unlimited photos backed up. If it is on your iPod and important to you, take the time to back it up. The iPod Touch is a must for powerful packed and mostly easy to use features. It really is a fun and useful player to have.

Even my 19 month old brother can use this
I got this ipod after the black friday sale and got it saturday morning! :) I couldn't go to sleep because i was anticipating it so much. I got it and started using it everything was good but then a couple days later as soon as I took it off of the charger the battery life went dead in about 3hrs. I had a previous ipod that I wanted replace because of the battery life and this doesnt make it any better. I wish I could return it! But other than the battery life this is a great ipod. Even my little brother LOVES IT and shakes his little booty to it all the time.

Better than I expected
I bought this dock with little expectations, but with the hope that it would better than what reviews I've read have to say about it. Far from reality, I must say they sound great, they do their job in the alarm clock department and I honestly think that the features and ease of use make this dock very recommendable, specially now that is a little lower in price. The orange lighting and the motion sensor make it super cool to put on your night stand, the only big backward I see is the size of the AC adaptor which is literally bigger and heavier than a brick.

Overall, I'm happy with it and I intend to keep an eye on next iterations of the product as well, because Logitech is starting to do things right with their iPod docks.

Great sound, but not really compatible with the iPhone
I love the sound, but when I connect my iPhone 3g, it doesn't really charge the phone. It was plugged in all night and never finished charging. Also the phone often pops up with a warning - "this device not compatible with iPhone, do you want to use Airplane mode?" It's pretty annoying. While it says on the box it's compatible, I think the compatibility is only marginal. It's too bad, because the sound is pretty good. I will be taking it back today.

Best iPhone Clock Radio
Having looked at the current crop of iPhone clock radios, I think this is the best one (and unfortunately the most expensive!). Nice sounding speakers, iPhone rings thru speakers, 2 alarms (wish you could pick your days individually), very good FM reception in fringe area, easy to work without reviewing the manual and nice display (not too bright). Great way to keep iPhone charged and nearby.

I would love to know the trade offs for the less expensive version - Logitech Pure-Fi Anytime Premium Alarm Clock for iPod and iPhone (ASIN B001FWXDZG) - which is a more reasonable $79.

The BlackBerry Curve is the best phone you can get!
The Blackberry Curve 8320 I ordered through Amazon is great. This Phone is a great phone to have if you love to text and use the internet. I didn't fully know the capibilities of this phone until I got it and now I guess I'm kinda of adicted to it. You can play games on it, download software for students and working people alike. Buying it through Amazon was hassle free and recevied a better price than anywhere less. With T mobile service I got with BlackBerry Curve 8320 Smartphone Titanium (T-Mobile)]]it works great and is very realiable. I would suguest this phone to anyone. One thing to keep in mind about the Curve is that it is very similar to a computer so you do need to be able to adapt to all the features. But once you have this phone I don't think you will every not have a blackberry because of all it's wonderfull capibilities.

Great device except for music
After T-Mobile had me pay $100 for the device plus $30 a month for data, I was taken with the Blackberry Curve. The 4.5 operating system isn't quite as flashy as the new 4.6, but as updates might be possible, no issues are there. I downloaded Need For Speed Undercover, and the graphics are really good. The 2 megapixel camera stacks up surprisingly well to the 5 megapixel Samsung Behold. BUT............... I cannot, for the life of me and the help of two other people, get my new Kingston 4gb memory card in the freaking phone! The memory card is microSD, and the curve supports 4gb cards, so this should be an easy pair. But this is downright terrible! I saw that the new Blackberry Flip has a spring loaded memory card slot on the side, and thank god! If only the Curve had this, because music was of major importance to me. If you are looking for a phone to play music, then make sure you can get the darn microSD card in the slot!

Wifi great. No GPS not so great.
Overall a very good phone.

Not up-to-date
This book (the 6th edition, that is) was published on the heels of Apple's recent updating of the iPod line with the new Nanos and Touches. I naively assumed that the timing was so that it could have the very latest info about the newest iPods. Not so. It refers to the pudgy third gen Nano as the latest thing. There's still a lot of good content here, but it is not as current as you might want.

Does the job
I always thought I was tech savvy, but after getting a Touch and trying to set it up with my old cds, I found myself struggling. This book helped me get my head wrapped around the concepts of iTunes and the iPod. I'm still having problems ripping cds, especially compilations or collections and it hasn't answered that issue. I still have multiple albums in my library that hold the songs of an individual artist on a compilation album and I can't seem to get them back together under one album. Its a minor frustration so far. As a general primer for someone trying to learn the iTunes and iPod universe it does a fine job.

Newer Edition Out with DVD
Five weeks after this 6th edition came out, the publisher came out with the iPod & iTunes For Dummies, DVD + Book Bundle (Dummies), which includes the same book seen here, but also a DVD tutorial, for the same price.

Not the greatest design
I am not the biggest person around but I do have good sized arms. After enough lifting the arm band was too small to put around my bicep. No problem, I moved it to my forearm. That worked great until the metal bracket snapped in half the other day.

This band has as a bad tendency to hold odor. You will need to wash it often you sweat a lot.

I will be purchasing a new band for my iPod touch and it will not be this one again.

great quality material
this armbard is made of great quality material, and considering i got it for $19.99, this is a good product for the buck.

useability: belkin made an armband that if secured correctly, it will not slide easily from you arm with out being unconfortable to wear. the wire binder can be a little cumbersome and the case tends to bulge up requireing the user to put more effort into touching the screen.

aesthetics: although the armband is made of wear-resistant material, it isn't very inconspicuous, even if you wear it under a longsleave shirt. all in all, the price is the best selling factor for this item.

Good, but a little too elastic
I like this case, easy to slip the iPod Touch out of my other case and into this one for the gym. I wouldn't use it for normal use because the iPod Touch slides around a little in it and fits a little awkwardly. But it works for the hour or so I go to the gym everyday. I use the built-in belt clip instead of the armband because it just feels awkward, but the belt clip is very sturdy and provides enough support.

Amazon.com Product Description
Set your music free as only JBL can do it with the black On Stage II iPod speaker system. The compact yet powerful high-performance system employs a quartet of Odyssey neodymium full-range drivers to fill your room with clear, accurate sound and all the volume you (and your friends and neighbors) can handle. It's the perfect accessory for bedrooms, smallish apartments, basements, and any other space where a full-size speaker system is pure overkill.

The On Stage II incorporates Apple's universal iPod dock adapter, which works with most docking versions of the iPod, including the iPod video 5G and 5.5G and the iPod nano 1G and 2G. Simply slide your iPod into the dock and you're set--no additional cords to connect or adapters to fuss with. As an added convenience, the On Stage II also offers an auxiliary input for connecting a variety of other portable audio devices, including the iPod shuffle, personal MP3 and CD players, desktop and laptop computers (all platforms), and satellite radio receivers. As long as your portable audio device has a 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack connection, you can play the audio through your On Stage II speaker.

As a bonus, the On Stage II comes with a wireless remote control, giving you the freedom to enjoy your music from across the room or in another room--up to 50 feet away (including through walls). The system itself, meanwhile, includes easy-to-use touch controls for the volume and mute, and even remembers your last volume setting after it shuts down. The system, which offers a frequency response of 80 Hz to 20 kHz, measures 7 inches in diameter and 2 inches tall and weighs 1 pound. It's also backed by a one-year warranty.

What's in the Box
On Stage II speaker system, wireless remote control, power cord, iPod adapter, input cable, user manual.

Customer Reviews
Excellent!!!
That's my first iPod Speakers, I think that the product is very good, It sounds great at high volume, and that's what I was looking for. It's perfect for small / medium rooms. The remote is so nice. I recommend this product!!

Fantastic sound, lousy remote - does not work with newer Nano's
I have a Nano 3G. The remote does not work - period. It only controls the volume - and that's part of the speaker system. None of the Nano features will work with the remote. I purchased one for myself, and received a 2nd as a gift. Neither one works. Still awaiting a reply from JBL tech support.

The manual was useless - no online help. So if it works, it works. If you have a problem, you may just be out of luck. I'll do a followup after I hear back from support.

Right now I'm pretty much set to return both of them. The remote controls everything, so without it this unit is a pain.

Also, they include a ton of inserts for the various iPods. Except the Nano - you have to use the one that came with the Nano -assuming you still have it. I did - but it's white. Stuck on the top of a black speaker system. Really poor design by JBL there. They probably saved .07 cents - the end result is cr*p.

Right now my vote is skip this system.

Followup 1: Decided to check the battery - not that simple, but did it. One $5.50 battery later (in other words, 10% of the total cost of the system) and the remote works marginally better. About 50% of the time, but I need to be in line of sight - forget about other rooms or, as the hype states "through walls" - no way.

Followup 2: Heard back from JBL. They state that the On Stage II is not "fully compatible" with the 3rd and 4th gen Nano. "It will only work with audio."

That's not what the hype states! So if you have a Nano, stay away! The remote is useless.

LOVE IT!!
This is such a great iPod accessory to have if you like listening to your music all the time and not just while traveling. The sound is great and its really easy to hook up and use. Love love love it!

Customer Reviews
Classic Ipod Wow
Its hard to review a Classic Ipod 120 Gig with a short amount of time, which is what I wanted to try to do, but I found that the Ipod Classic needed a few months of exposure.
One basic example is that the albums you usually load into the Ipod Classic can pull the Cover off the Internet either from I-Tunes or CDDB, and I thought that I needed an album cover editor for those covers that my CDs did not have on the internet; Thing is, so long as you have either access to Amazon, Wikipedia, or a scanner, you can easily put a new cover on to the Ipod items, and even edit songs, Album names, Link Albums, Link CDs, and pretty much anything related to the CDs gojng into the Ipod.
The Classic allows subscriptions to a huge range of Podcasts, Movies, TV shows, Purchase of some brilliant games that have superb controls, and I got two games that are massively addictive. You can also have a collection of Pictures, txt files, and details that can actually help at work whilst you listen to cool Music, or riveting Radio shows, and funny audio.
I keep on finding extra things that the Ipod Classic can do, and it just constantly amazes me. Its such a great buy and has such a massive capacity.
I was quite deliberately after the larger capacity in the ipod. Its absurd in these days where drives can be so huge in capacity but small in size, for me to go for a small system. Its a small unit, but huge in capacity.I constantly push this to do more, and it always does better than before, even if a minor error occurs, like CD cover loss, occurs, but usually, so long as I have a local hard drive backup, I can take care if it; its just like any PC, or high capacity unit.
Brilliant Things come in Apple Packages !!! But I did Buy a Body Glove Cover to clip this to my belt: Body Glove, always better than the rest

best deal this season!
still haven't found any store on-line or elsewhere to beat the price I paid for this IPOD!

Zune Killer...
The great thing about this version is the amount of memory is ahead of it's time. Portable media players have a hard time keeping up with Apple's storage capacity. The only draw back is that your movies resolution can't be higher than 680 X 480. Obviously, you don't need a higher resolution to achieve visual quality on the Ipod Classic. It's more relevant for those that use the Apple TV in addition to the Ipod. If you want something in HD on your Apple TV it will not sync with your Ipod. This product would be even better if there were easier ways to sync multiple Apple devices within Itunes with one media file. It would save storage space and would be a smoother device. In the end the Ipod classic is a solid product with ample memory to provide an all-in-one device while on the road. I would highly recommend this product!

Garmin 660
I bought the Garmin 660 and my son liked it so much. That I bought a second one for him, for Christmas. As I am 70 years old and found it very easy to use I think any one can use it.There is not a steep learning curve or a large book to read. And if you get tired of the lady giving directions you can pull the plug.

Had Mine For Nearly A Year. How Did I Live Without It!
I won't attempt to rewrite the already excellent reviews of the Garmin nuvi 660 that are posted here. I'm here to lend support to those who have been waiting for high end portable GPS units to drop in price. And even though this is a discontinued model, it was a $700.00 unit now selling for half and still considered a high quality unit.

I love the 660. I first saw it when a friend pulled it out and showed it to me. He sells them and at the time, it was one of the top models available. But I couldn't afford something so expensive. Then my brother-in-law bought one and showed it to me. It was the same 660 and he let me play with it. I was sold.

So being the huge internet "search for the best deal" buyer that I am, I found that the best price at the time was here at Amazon.com, at $350.00 during January of 2008. I didn't hesitate and bought the last one at that price, apparently a Christmas special. Three days later with their free shipping, I started using it and haven't stopped. My wife and I used it this summer on our vacation out west and it worked nearly flawlessly, only losing us once into a residential area when we were looking for a specific restaurant. I recently had to take a trip to Los Angeles and drive all around the city on their interstate system. This is the ONLY way to navigate LA! It tells you with plenty of time to spare, what lane to change to. I never got lost or stuck.

Yes, there are some things I would like to see. You can't put into this model more than one "Via" point, so you can't be very specific on a route. I tend to only use it to find my final destination to a work location after having run the address through Google Maps. So I know pretty much how to get to the general area and then pop this on to bring me into final approach. It's not perfect every single time, but it does get you close even on those times where the address doesn't match the satellite coordinates.

The Bluetooth handsfree did not work for my Nokia phone so I couldn't use that. The FM wireless link to my FM radio was noisy and poor quality. No big deal since I didn't buy this for that feature.

Prepping the 660 for a trip inside can be frustrating when it does not connect to a satellite. But my biggest complaint is the poor rechargeable battery life if you want to take a short day trip without taking the cabling out of your primary car. The unit will not last several hours there and back. That's just not acceptable and Garmin should try to improve this if they haven't already.

All in all, I am very pleased with the Garmin nuvi 660 and would recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality portable GPS that is now at decent prices due to being discontinued.

Happy traveling!

Prompt delivery good service
We experienced prompt delivery and excellent service. The Garmin is working great and we are enjoying it as we travel.

not high quality
I had an old belkin brand protector on my iphone for about 6 months. it worked great had no scratches. but i had to take if off because i dropped my phone in dog poop... ANYWAY. I ordered this brand, and after being in my purse for one day(same place i had been keeping it with the old one on it) it already had a huge scratch in the protector. since then it's got a few more smaller, but deep scratches. Maybe this was a fluke?

Read The Instructions!
Product was what was ordered, and the seller (SF Planet) was fine. We did not watch the video the seller recommended, and did not realize that there was a "second film" packaging that needed to be removed. After struggling to make the protector/"second film" work, we gave up and were going to throw it away. We peeled off what we thought was the protector, then wondered how we got some bubbles in the iPhone. That's when we realized that the REAL protector was actually installed and we were tossing away the "second film" packaging. Oops. Hey - watch the video ([...]) or carefully read the instructions.

Very good
Item was packaged properly, arrived promptly, and provides good protection for the iPhone 3G screen.

Customer Reviews
Works great with the iPhone 3G!
I had a tough time finding an FM transmitter that worked with the iPhone 3G. I even had to return on that looked promising. The Satechi FM Transmitter works great with my iPhone 3G and was easy to use. You can't beat this product for the price.

Very useful
As a long haul truck driver, I travel a lot. I bought this for my 3g iPhone. Now I can listen to Pandora, NPR, and Tuner everywhere I go, all day every day as I like. Very handy, useful, unobtrusive little gizmo. The folks at Satechi are great to work with as well. I certainly recommend this to anyone with like needs.

Cheap. Zero quality control
I bought one of these and was somewhat disappointed. The build quality is very cheap. It does not charge the iPhone, the backlight is virtually worthless, and the stations are easily changed inadvertently. I wrote a review reflecting these complaints, and SATECHI wrote me saying I had a defective unit. They offered to replace it with a new one. The new item arrived and it does not fit into my iPhone dock connector (or an iPod nano for that matter).

This is an extremely cheap made-in-China product made with zero quality control. I've used two of these now, both of which were faulty. Save your time and money for something of quality. Your iPhone deserves it.

Customer Reviews
Good looks and sounds great.
I was very pleased with this product right out of the box.The sound is very good at all levels, and the bass and treble adjustments are very easy to use and are displayed with cool blue lights, as is the on switch.I have used two different iPods with it and both plug in and play perfectly. It is nice to have a full battery charge when on the go.The unit is not to large and not to small. It sits firmly on a table top on nice rubber pads.A quality looking product with sound to match.

Wow, very powerfull sound
This system is worth the price, the sound is clear and crisp and what amazed me most was the fact thst it has the power to play loud and full a small room with sound for its size, the bass is clear and treble nice. I would definately recomend this to anyone looking for a system with a little kick forget about those cheaper ones. The blue status lights are awesome too. This works with the i-phone 3g but u need a little plastic dock that fits , and mines came with it,, im not sure they all do cause the dock was taped to the outside of the box.

Nice Dock
I don't have an iPhone yet, but will next year. So I wanted something that I could use with a 3G as well as my current iPod 5th Gen. I had purchased a Sony clock radio dock but the sound was pretty poor. This Altec Lansing sounds much, much better. So I guess I'll keep the clock separate. It has very deep bass and a good overall tone. At the time of this review, Altec Lansing was offering a free wall mount bracket for just a few dollars shipping. There was an insert in the dock that I had to remove for the iPod (maybe the iPhone insert?). Nice dock, and the best I have heard sound quality wise. I don't buy Bose, so I have no idea about that unit.
